35% Energy Reduction on a 10-Chamber Stenter Line
The Challenge
A large integrated mill in Dhaka was operating a 10-chamber gas stenter at significantly above-optimal energy consumption. Throughput was inconsistent, and the plant was experiencing high rework rates on heat-set polyester blends due to temperature variation across the width.
Our Approach
Textiltek conducted a full process audit over two weeks, including temperature profiling across all chambers, airflow measurement, fabric tension mapping, and chemical pad recipe review. Root causes were identified as incorrect chain pitch settings, blocked nozzles in chambers 4–7, and suboptimal exhaust recirculation ratios.
